I am a Ukrainian citizen. One of the British companies failed to comply with their payment obligations under a contract between us. What can I do?

Depending on the contract terms, you may be able to start legal proceedings against them in a court of law, or take action via arbitration. Depending on the sum of the debt, you may be able to use “Claim on Line” option, and claim money that you are owed on line. You need to check Governing Law and Jurisdiction clause in the contract. Depending on the strength of your case, it may be sufficient to send the other side a strong ‘legal’ letter, letter from your solicitors, demanding payment and making the consequences of not complying clear to them. If they are in breach of the contract, you are prepared to take action, and they do have assets/cash, a strong ‘legal’ letter is often sufficient to resolve this kind of disputes.
