Permanent residence for a 21 year-old son

Questions & AnswersCategory: ImmigrationPermanent residence for a 21 year-old son
RSL Law Staff asked 1 year ago

My son is planning on applying for Permanent residency in September. He will be 21 in October. My husband is a Permanent resident. At the time of application, my son will still be 20 years old, so he is “a family member of an EU citizen under 21”. What does he need to write in the application? Is he a family member of an EU citizen under 21 or a dependent relative if he applies in September?

Thank you for your question. Your son has to write in the application form his actual age at the time of sending the documents to the Home Office.
